As a director, Daniel has a genuinely global outlook. Authentic portraiture and cinematic beauty are seamlessly combined in his work. With his unique way of seeing people and places, he is making a name for himself. His keen eye for moments and eye for people and places make him a unique observer. Daniel is a restless explorer of culture and humanity.
How a biography writer would sum up my first twenty something years:
Growing up in a small town like Leimen, Baden Württemberg, with an obsession for arthouse movies and a dog named Sammy. After finishing school and college in Heidelberg, Daniel spent a year on exchange in Barcelona. Together with a Los Angeles-based Director, he began his career as a filmmaker. Together, they made several classic horror trash films which were screened at the Sitges International Film Festival. After completing studies in media technology at the University of Applied Sciences, he joined the Academy of Art in Düsseldorf and visited Vadim Glowna’s class, where he learned everything he needed to know about storytelling, acting, and directing.
